It's difficult to know without knowing more about the disk.  "The
Complete FreeBSD", second edition
(http://www.cdrom.com/titles/os/bsdbook2.htm) contains a discussion of
how to do this.  It's not simple, and using sysinstall is often a more
comfortable alternative.
