Its an Intel 82801DB (ICH4) according to dmesg. I have attached the dmesg 
output below for reference.  You can see at the bottom, when you plug a 
device in you get an error message from uhub[012].  If theres any more useful 
things I can attach let me know! (: I dont know enough to go hacking around 
in uhub.c but I may try if I get desperate! (:
