I am seeing a similar problem, but I don't get a coredump. The sshfs
command returns with exit status 0 and no message, but there is a
kernel error logged that sshfs exited on signal 11. An ls to the
mount directory (tmp in this case) gives the message:
     'ls: tmp: Bad file descriptor'
An unmount attempt of the directory gives the two messages:
'umount: tmp: stat: Bad file descriptor:
     'umount: tmp: unknown file system'
I then have to unmount it by using 'umount /dev/fuse0'.

This system is 9.1-RELEASE amd64, and sshfs and the fusefs libraries and
kernel module were all installed with packages.
