Hi Hans Peter, and Alfred,

we are about to switch to usb2 stack;
and my prolific ucom interface does not work.

i applied the paatch given by Alfred some days ago, to GENERIC and compiled
the new kernel without any problem. 

good news my usb keyboard works quite well.

but, as you can see below, upcom is detected; but does not work.

any hint would be helpful and greatly appreciated.
