In a manner of speaking... Unfortunately, the freebsd-newbies list
discourages the asking of questions, even newbie questions that people are
often embarrassed to ask on -questions. After a heated debate last summer,
another list was set up (freebsd-tips-subscribe@egroups.com) that was more
newbie (and question) friendly. It's _extremely_ low volume, but perhaps
it could be revitalized :) (Also, I don't believe that it's ever been
officially associated with the FreeBSD project - it's just a list made
by/for interested users).
