With the new Palm OS 3.3 update I am supposed to be able to create a serial connection from my Palm Pilot in its cradle to my machine. I have set up PPP, but when I go to establish the serial connection on the Pilot it just sits there. Since it is supposed to prompt me for the password when the login prompt comes up, I have deduced it is not a PPP setup problem. Therefore it must be a getty settings problem or such. Soooo....I downloaded a serial program for the Palm Pilot and went into the term program on my PC. When I typed a character on my computer it turns up as jibberish on the Pilot and vice versa. Anyone have any idea what I should do to fix this? Is this really feasible? Thanks, Dan Diephouse P.S. Getty is set up for the serial port as: ttyd0 "/usr/libexec/getty std.38400" dialin on secure To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
