Precisely where does it hang? After which line to the console? I have this problem from time to time. It is usually associated with the NFS mounts. They are done in /etc/rc right after the first network pass, network_pass1. Do you have any NFS mounts? Could we see /etc/fstab, /etc/rc.conf, and any mods to the /etc/rc.network file. If you do have NFS mounts, could you check the responsiveness of the hosts? -- Crist J.
