*Shrug*

1.  My plan on deprecating them in 7.0-RELEASE was OK'ed by core@.
    For now (RELENG_5 and RELENG_6), old spellings are supported,
    and deprecation warning is issued.

2.  What makes NOCLEAN so special, what about other knobs?
