There is no problem with that setup. I personally use squirrelmail after fiddling around with a lot of differnt webmail packages I found this one to be the best. Also remember with imap that there is a vulnerability which may or may not matter to you in that if a user has imap access & no local shell access they are able to exploit imap to gain shell access. (Not an issue for me as all my users have shell access.)
