BEET reminds me of Debian Potato, although Debian didn't got the name
from vegetables...
Also, a beet isn't an example of something beautiful...

How about these:

-RELEASE: -RELEASE
-R+Security-fixes: -GREENGRAS
-STABLE: -ORANGE
-CURRENT: -REDHOT

Just my 0.02 Euro...
