Thanks Sean, this is what I'm after.  Only one other small question; how
do I get the install kernel to pick the config file up?

The sysinstall man page says you can compile in a CONFIG_FILE option
but this will create a new version of sysinstall - not the kernel thats   
on
the boot floppy.
