I started a BSD user group in Munich with the opposite view: A
previous BSD user group here had died a boring death partly because
IMO it kept meeting in the same boring small local bar. The Munich
group http://berklix.org/bim/ we later created has been meeting in
a different restaurant every month for years now, (Indian, Greek,
Persian, Bavarian, Italian etc) & we're still doing that.

A few in Munich then wanted to meet in the same place every
month, & they splintered of.

We (BIM) decide where we're going by nominating & voting on our mail list,
hence people get to see who else is up for it this month etc.
To see how we do it

If you need a mail list to co-ord it, I can give you one if no one nearer will.
