Hello,

-When FreeBSD boots up I get the following entry in /var/log/messages

Mar 21 07:13:34 freebsd /kernel: pcm1 (CS423x/Yamaha/AD1816 <Yamaha SA2>
sn 0xffffffff) at 0x530-0x537 irq 5 drq 0 flags 0x11 on isa

-It looks like it might have probed by sound card as I have a Yamaha sound card
-But when I goto "K" "Setting" "Informaton" "Sound" I get somethign like "no
supporting infomation yet"
- When I try to play a Music CD I get a cdplay.core in my home directory.so I
can't test it with the CD player.
