running AMD k6-300 and never had this problem you speak of.

maybe it is with the 350's i know that there is a bios update
to fix some timing problems with the 350's on my
motherboard.

it is an epox mvp3

I am running on an AMD-K6 200 MHz and have never had the segfault problem,
or any other for that matter.
