Have you upgraded your source recently?  I have only seen this happen when
the lib_kvm gets out of synch with the kernel.  ( I can't explain.  I jsut
fixed it according to help from this list. )

Try 

cd /usr/src/lib/libkvm
make
make install

Or rebuild the world.
