Has anyone started writing a device driver for the :CueCat barcode
scanner? I see someone has already written a Linux driver but since
it is under the GPL that pretty much precludes someone from using
that code in a BSD kernel.

If you don't know what I'm talking about then you should start here.

In short it is a barcode scanner that for a while you can get free
from the RadioShack nearest you. I've been looking for programming
docs but haven't found any yet. You can plug it inline with your
PS/2 keyboard and it looks like it just generates keyboard scancodes.
