To see the Unix host on the Net-Neighbourhood, try to set:

 browseable = yes
 workgroup = unix-group

on the global settings, and:

[homes]
   comment = Home Directories
   browseable = no
   read only = no
   create mode = 0750

as a share on the smb.conf file. When you log in to Win95 with the same
username/password (this may not be strictly necessary, depending on the
rest of your smb.conf file) as an existing user on the Unix system, you
will be able to see the Workgroup "unix-group" (the Win95 machine can
belong to a different group) and inside it will be your FreeBSD machine,
and in it a folder that contains your Unix home-directory.
