These adapters were announced back in January, but I just saw a
handful of messages about them in comp.periphs.scsi. Anyone try them
out with FreeBSD? Do we have any RAID support at all?

They are described in detail in Adaptec's 1/23/95 press release,
available on http://www.adaptec.com.

Briefly, they are 3-channel SCSI PCI host adapters, Fast ($499) and
Fast-Wide respectively, using a new high-speed RISC processor,
1 per channel.

There is also a 3985 3-channel RAID[015] host adapter ($ 799).
