Hi, I've recently upgraded from 4.5 to 4.7, but after I make and installed everything, rc.conf seems like it wasn't read and all networking are now gone. I've done mergemaster and all files in /etc should be correct. When I try to ping myself or localhost, it says "no route to host". PPP is not enabled and is set to interactive mode in /etc/rc.conf, but when the system boots up, it is started as auto mode. PPP still works correctly, it did add a default route when it is connected to my ISP, but when I try to ping anything (including localhost), it complains about "no route to host". Why are these strange things happening? Any help would be much appreciated, thanks. Andrew http://www.yahoo.promo.com.au/hint/ - Yahoo!
