You probably downloaded it in ascii mode.  use an FTP server if you can 
(not a web browser as they tend to muss things up a bit) and type binary 
before "get boot.flp" 
This fdimage (and rawrite.exe which sometimes works better) creates a 
disk image, NOT just a copy of a file on the disk.  Therefore, it doesn't 
matter the size of the file (it could probably be up to 2 megs as thats 
the theoretical max capacity of a 3.5" HD disk). make sure you're using 
DOS.  not win 95, not a dos box under win 95, and not "exit from windows 
into dos mode." format it using /u and make sure there are no bad sectors.
