I'll take it.
Alan:  I believe the best way to do this is a 'robocopy'.
You copy ../dbmail to ../dbmail-devel (or ../dbmail30), and just upload patches (diffs) between ../dbmail and dbmail30.
that way, dbmail (22) history is preserved, and the trail going forward is maintained.
Also, and it doesn't matter here, since you really want a robo copy.  new ports need a 'shar' uploaded.
Don't do that here, I think we still want to do a robocopy.
Upload your patches and I will see about getting them committed.
Ports has a partial thaw now, so now is the time to do this.
