FreeBSD comes with "fetch" as part of the base system; you don't
even need to install any ports.  (In fact, fetch is what we use to
get the sources that you need to build ports.)

If you're doing something trivial, the usage is also trivial:

% fetch http://myhost.com/foo/file.spoo
