* I do full poudriere runs of all installed ports on the system about 
every 10 days.
* I then do "pkg upgrade -f -r myrepo" (forced full reinstall) about 
every 2 or 3 months. The last time I did that (full reinstall) was about 
2 weeks ago.
* The problem has existed for over 9 months.
