Good afternoon,

I'm having a problem with a FreeBSD virtual machine on VMware fusion v3.1.2. Basically I get no USB 2.0 functionality. When I plug in a USB 2.0 mass storage device I get:

     uhub_reattach_port: port 1 reset failed, error=USB_ERR_TIMEOUT
     uhub_reattach_port: device problem (USB_ERR_TIMEOUT), disabling port 1

With some devices I can fix the problem by reconfiguring VMware Fusion for USB 1.0 / 1.1 only. With others the device appears unwilling to negotiate with a USB 1.1 root hub and this is unusable altogether.

I'm running FreeBSD 8.2 PRERELEASE based on the 2011/01 snapshot.

If anyone else has seen this can come up with a work around I'd appreciate any assistance they could provide.

Thanks

-- Chris
