This question has been in the back of my mind for quite a few years now, but I have never bothered to investigate it for some reason. Just wondering if BSD was created by the same "Berkeley" group that makes After Dark (Berkeley Systems, I believe they're called)? And if so, why did they lower their standards? :-) P.S.: This is my first post to the list. Greetings, all! I'm not really a newbie, per se; I have about 8 years experience of using Unix, but I still consider myself a newbie, because there are a lot of holes in my head that need to be filled. :-) As such, I might be able to help a few others on this list who need help with basic things, and I'd like to volunteer my services! -- Anthony C.
