It works fine here. If it doesn't for you, I'd first of all just try to see
if a different piece of sound software will probably solve the problem. I
can at least guarantee that I could successfully play sound using sox, and
when I build and tested KDE 2.2.2 on that machine for rollout to some other
machines on the network, I'd also get sound as expected.
