Thanks to all who helped! I went to the web form at http://www.freebsd.org/send-pr.html, but didn't find an appropriate place to attach some file. Then, I noticed that the GMail's web interface tried to expand tabs to spaces when forwarding my original message, which was unacceptable. Finally, I "had a go at ssmtp". It supports TLS. Great! So I 'cat' that PR message into stdin for ssmtp to deliver through GMail smtp service.
