Have you got a VLSI 82C146 pccard controller (check dmesg) by any 
chance ?  If so this may help:

If you're running -current, try adding

options PCIC_RESUME_RESET

to your kernel config (option added yesterday).  If you're not 
running -current, have a look in /sys/pccard/pccard.c for the 
above being #ifdef'd and #define it beforehand.
