Hi Joerg,

Bearing in mind that it a few years since I hacked on Amanda's internals
to debug a problem like this, Amanda's problem is that it tries to parse
a variety of formats from a variety of systems, and they range from
moderately similar to totally dissimilar.

It was icchhhy code when I looked at it.  :-(  It was iccchhhyer when I
identified the reasons it was doing what it was doing.  :-(  :-(
