Installing 3.0 on a system that has run 2.0, 2.1 and is running on = 2.2.1. Booting from the 3.0 floppy created from the 3.0 cdrom boot.flp = and goes to UserConfig, there is no INTERRUPT or PORT ADDRESS shown for = my 1542B Adaptec SCSI. I have down loaded a copy of the 3.0 boot.flp = from ftp.freebsd.org and had the same results. When using the 3.0 = boot.flp, I used the -c option and config to set the PORT to 0x330, IRQ = to 11 and DRQ to 5. The boot up still failed to find the Adaptec = controller. I have rebooted it from the 2.2.1 floppy and the SCSI shows up ok. I = also downloaded a 2.2.8 copy of boot.flp to try. The 2.2.8 boot floppy = also found the 1542 controller. I tried to use the 2.2.8 boot.flp by = changing the Release Name to 3.0-REAEASE. The loading errored out. Thank you in advance for any assistance that can be provided. jdiggan@worldnet.att.net ------=_NextPart_000_0008_01BE243F.E41B8160 Content-Type: text/html; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD W3 HTML//EN"> <HTML> <HEAD> <META content=3Dtext/html;charset=3Diso-8859-1 = http-equiv=3DContent-Type> <META content=3D'"MSHTML 4.72.2106.6"' name=3DGENERATOR> </HEAD> <BODY bgColor=3D#ffffff> <DIV> <DIV><FONT color=3D#000000 size=3D2>Invoice # 11986740, 27 Nov = 98.</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT color=3D#000000 size=3D2></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT color=3D#000000 size=3D2>Installing 3.0 on a system that has = run 2.0, 2.1=20 and is running on 2.2.1.
