hello, i know this is just waaaaaaaaay off-topic... which is why i'm
mailing you instaed of the list.. ok, i've been trying to install
freeBSD 2.2.6 via nfs for quite a few days now.. i made the proper boot
disk and i've read numerous docs ... it finds everything -except- for my
NIC... it's an ISA ne2000 clone thingy.. linux finds it just fine (i
snagged mulinux, which is basically linux on a floppy) and i can do
networking stuff with linux... but freebsd isn't finding it right.. i've
tried both the visual kernel config and CLI... figured out how to change
the proper settings that it needs... STILL won't find it... supposedly
it's sitting on ed0... but the config probes everything BUT ed0 and then
just freezes there... have you seen/heard of this problem before? sorry
to bother you on this.. i've been at it for days now and it just doesn't
wanna work right :)
