I've done this (literally) hundreds of times, and I'm pretty sure our
ssh port handles this correctly.  I've never gotten "host
identification changed!" message from our package building box which
has it's /usr/local wiped out every couple of weeks, but I copy
etc/ssh* from a backup before reinstalling ssh.
