As far as I have been able to understand from Italian people I met online it
shouldn't be that different from the Dutch stuff, so I will inform you about
that.

We use 220/230 V for power and normally have very different cables than those
that are common in the US. The pins on the plug are round, like a small
cylinder.

Almost all phone connectors use standard RJ11's for connecting, however the
connector after that differs from country to country.
