I installed the package using /stand/sysinstall, know nothing
about INSTALL.

Running faxq as root didn't work either, but I have been
messing with the permissions in /var/spool/fax and, after this,
complaints from faxq finished. Now, though, faxes just sit there
and never get out of the queue. Right now I have nothing there
and faxstat returns:

Server on localhost:FIFO for all modems: Running.

Otherwise it also shows waiting faxes.
