Any suggestions greatly appreciated Thank you in > advance - Windows "tracert" sends ICMP packets. FreeBSD (and other Unix/Unixish systems') "traceroute" send UDP by default. If you want, you can use traceroute(8)'s -P option to send ICMP packets.
