I attempted to install the port www/mod_php-4.0.2 with a freshly cvsupped ports directory. It appeard to build without exceptions. On install however, the install attempt to restart apache which did not work because, so it is reported, libphp4.so has an undefined symbol "readdir_r". Now apache won't start on account of this error, even when I remove libphp4.so from the load modules and mod_php4 from the add modules in httpd.conf. mod_php-4.0.2 won't deinstall because it claims it is not installed, but pretty clearly it has done something to apache.
