I prefer to launch daemons by several shell scripts in /usr/local/etc/r=
c.d/ rather than a single one - rc.local in /etc.

If you install apache web server from port, the startup script of apach=
e is placed at /usr/local/etc/rc.d/ . After=20
reading its content, you may know how to write one.
