I'm sure lots of people are thinking along the same lines, but there's a
basic problem with that approach:  if you have a transient connectivity
problem that *doesn't* involve changing addresses, you lose many or all
of your outstanding sessions unnecessarily.  In many cases, that's not a
problem, but for the cases where you need unattended recovery, it
probably is.
