I've typically found X a worry, however I think its mostly
because of the extremely flaky auto-detect routine for video
devices. I tried a test install last week with XFree 3.x, bog
standard S3 Virge 325, & blackbox instead of those KDE /
Gnome monstrosities ..... voila !!!!!

I still can't see a lot of point in X on a server though ..... unlike
Solaris / SCO virtually all the config is command line so all X
does for me is waste a bit of space & open a potential security
hole or three.
