umm hey there,

i've got a freebsd 3.0-BETA box playing the role of server/gateway on my
LAN.  i need to run Samba, but when the client systems connect, the
transfer rates plummet... (using tcp/ip).. the nics in the system are
realtek 8029s.

anybody able to help?
