If you are using the diskd filesystem, see if it works without it. I
had the signal 6 stuff happen recently and had to bump up the sysV
queue parameters to make diskd work.

   Hi,=20
   I am running squid on a 4.5STABLE.
I am transperent forwarding the traffic arround 3-4mbits to the server.
And have a lot like this in my syslog:
   --cut--
   Apr 15 18:04:32 cache squid[354]: Squid Parent: child process 378 exited =
   due to signal 6
Apr 15 18:04:33 cache /kernel: Limiting closed port RST response from =
259 to 200 packets per second
   Apr 15 18:04:35 cache squid[354]: Squid Parent: child process 395 =
   started
Apr 15 18:04:35 cache /kernel: Limiting closed port RST response from =
205 to 200 packets per second
   Apr 15 18:04:44 cache /kernel: pid 395 (squid), uid 65534: exited on =
   signal 6
   Apr 15 18:04:44 cache squid[354]: Squid Parent: child process 395 exited =
   due to signal 6
   Apr 15 18:04:47 cache squid[354]: Squid Parent: child process 409 =
   started
   Apr 15 18:04:51 cache /kernel: pid 409 (squid), uid 65534: exited on =
   signal 6
   Apr 15 18:04:51 cache squid[354]: Squid Parent: child process 409 exited =
   due to signal 6
   Apr 15 18:04:54 cache squid[354]: Squid Parent: child process 413 =
   started
   Apr 15 18:04:58 cache /kernel: pid 413 (squid), uid 65534: exited on =
   signal 6
   Apr 15 18:04:58 cache squid[354]: Squid Parent: child process 413 exited =
   due to signal 6
   Apr 15 18:05:01 cache squid[354]: Squid Parent: child process 420 =
   started
   --cut--
   The squid restarts continuously.

   I will appreciate any advices!

   Thanks
   Veno
