Hi John, So I am sure the replies you have recieved will help you. I would, however, suggest you post "beginner" questions to freebsd-newbies@freebsd.org. You will get a more patient hearing there. But before posting, go to docs.freebsd.org and search for their archive of questions and other documentation before you ask help. This will save you time, instead of having to wait for answers. Lastly, if you want to get started off quickly, I suggest you try Mandrake Linux. It has a super supportive user community.
