It should. And most likely will. This is a snippet from dmesg on an
A7V w/ 800 MHz Athlon. Notice it knows to do UDMA100 on the onboard
Promise controller when the disc drive supports it. Then the other
is the CD-RW drive on the MB's VIA ATA-66 chipset.

ad4: 43967MB <Maxtor 54610H6> [89331/16/63] at ata2-master UDMA100
acd0: CD-RW <PCRW804> at ata1-slave using PIO4
