Ok, added the line (use of irq 11 in my case) the box now completely
boots, Yay :).

No further pccard events are seen, insertion/removal of any card isn't
seen by the kernel.

When I boot the box without any card inserted, wait for multiuser mode
and then insert the ed lan card, insertion isn't seen by the kernel.
