Subject: RAID support under FreeBSD ?

I want to install FreeBSD 2.2.5 on a Dell PowerEdge 4200 server.
This is an impressive machine wich includes two SCSI controllers
(one is an Adaptec 7880 and the other is a 7860). Also has
two Ultra-Wide disks of 4GB capacity. [BTW, FreeBSD will replace
Windows NT - HA HA !!].

My problem is that this Dell server has a PCI board installed which
acts as RAID controller and battery backup module. At startup,
the two disks don't appear in the SCSI bus. I think that the RAID
controller manages the disks, so they are not seen by the 7880 SCSI
controller. Since the 7880 does not see any disk, neither FreeBSD does.

My question is: does FreeBSD support any RAID controller? I know
that a driver for Windows NT comes with the Dell RAID adapter.
If that RAID controller is not supported by FreeBSD, then I will
have to remove the RAID adapter, and this is a shame.
