ifconfig(8) will tell you:

xl0: flags=3D8802<BROADCAST,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> mtu 1500
        options=3D3<RXCSUM,TXCSUM>
        ether 00:50:da:b4:10:5b
        media: Ethernet autoselect (none)
        status: no carrier

"ifconfig -m" will tell you the list of supported capabilities.
