Oh really? afair vt52 was too dumb and had no programmable keys and
only responces you could get back from it were screen cursor position and
some simple status info. You need vt100 at least.

vt52 clones were much more widespread in communist block countries than
in the rest of the world where they were quickly phased out by vt100 and
higher models. ;)
