I get a lot of:

  PID USERNAME PRI NICE SIZE RES STATE C TIME CPU COMMAND
    0 root         8    0     0K   416K CPU0    0 186:02 100.00% kernel{thread taskq}

on my ia64 boxes.

What is this thead?
And why is it so busy?

I've seen several similar questions
on the net, but never any answers.
Is this thread described in any man or wiki page?

Thanks

Anton
