I basically did a fresh install of 4.0-Release which I am just trying to finish
setting up correctly. When I try to run X-Windows as a regular user I get the
following message

  XFree86 Version 3.3.6 / X Window System
(protocol Version 11, revision 0, vendor release 6300)
  Release Date: January 8, 1999
  OS: FreeBSD 3.3-RELEASE i386 [ELF]

  Fatal server error:
xf86OpenConsole: Server must be running with root permissions
You should be using Xwrapper to start the server or xdm
We strongly advise against making the server SUID root!

1. When I do a pkg_info it says that XFree86 4.0 is installed yet
that information is saying that it is XFree86 3.3.6.

2. Why does it say the OS is 3.3-RELEASE when if I do uname it
    returns 4.0-RELEASE

3. Why can't I start X-Windows as a normal user? What permissions do I need
to change to get it to work? Of course I can start X as root with no
   problems.

TIA

Brian,
