Subject:   PCCard controler "sees" disk differently?

I'm having some problems with a pccard controller for desktop
computers call "Power Chute" ... It's an ISA card that attaches
pccards to a desktop system.

When I insert the card on the desktop, I get:

When I insert the same card on my laptop, I get:

The PCCard controller on desktop (the Power Chute) probes as:

pccard1: <PC Card bus -- kludge version> on pcic2

And the PCCard controller on the laptop probes as:
